After eight years in Australia, this is my first wild koala. To take a break from Byron, we decided to go to Dany's place, my mother's friend. To get there was an adventure: the driveway was more suited for 4WDs than my poor camry. Her home is best described as an eagle's nest: high up a hill with a broad view of the valley, the house is simple: a few rooms exquisitely decorated opening onto a deck that overviews the whole valley. This is a house for artists, loners and lovers.
