After eight years in Australia, this is my first wild koala. To take a break from Byron, we decided to go to Dany's place, my mother's friend. To get there was an adventure: the driveway was more suited for 4WDs than my poor camry. Her home is best described as an eagle's nest: high up a hill with a broad view of the valley, the house is simple: a few rooms exquisitely decorated opening onto a deck that overviews the whole valley. This is a house for artists, loners and lovers. Posted by Picasa

Dany's deck. What a place to meditate! Posted by Picasa

The three of us at Dany's place up, way up, in the hills. Apparently, a hanglider was stuck on the cliff you see in the distance for a whole day once. Posted by Picasa

Our camp in the rain. We have clothes line in the car, since it's the only dry place (no, the tent isn't dry). Posted by Picasa
Enjoying the wind up near the lighthouse. This was a rainy day. Posted by Picasa

Christmas

Christmas eve dinner. We are blending Australian and French traditions, while serving a vegetarian dinner. This must be quite a unique christmas dinner. Posted by Picasa

I don't know when this was taken, but I have to put some photos of myself. It can fit in with christmas them pictures. Posted by Picasa

This cat is scared of everything that moves. We've had her for a while. Posted by Picasa

Dreamworld

This was a pretty scary ride. The rail you can see is for a car that shoot you up very quickly. The acceleration is thrilling. On the sides of the tower are two other rails used for a big drop attraction. We are slowly lifted to admire the view and dropped at free fall acceleration. A lot of fun, but quite scary. Perhaps a lot of fun because it is quite scary. Posted by Picasa
This is the big brother house at dreamworld. 12 people are locked into 60s deco for 12 weeks in the hope that they'll have sex on the screen. In four years the show has run, no couple as yet dared to shock the nation Posted by Picasa

My dad, myself, my mother and my little brother. My sister and my older brother didn't make it. This is my graduation, as you will see from the bunch of photos I've put up. As I get more photos, I will try to add christmas and other events' pictures. It will be a little more tricky since they're not on my camera.

I reckon I look rather smart on this one. I am not listening to anyone who disagrees.

With my mother who always manages to look immaculate on photos.

With my dad after the graduation ceremony.

This was at the start of the civil/mechanical pre graduation drinks. Pete on the right is not graduating because he failed music.

Everyone was taking photos in front of this sad sculpture. Hmm, not exactly great, but we didn't want to miss out.

X rated really. Julian being naughty with his girlfriend. Haha, wait till I tell him I've put this on the web.

This has to be the classic UQ graduation picture. I needed one!

After the graduation ceremony, Pete in the front, Marie Aude next to me in the gree, Lucinda behind Julian on the right all went out for dinner. A few pitchers of beer, a few pizzas and we all had a great time.
